The Latest Website Updates At MUDPIX MAGAZINE As Of Saturday, December 21st, 2019.

2019-12-21-SA @ 8:45 PM CST – All my photos for MUDPIX MAGAZINE Issue #2 that I’ve worked on so far are now named correctly. So I can get on with continueing that work now. I also had no plans on getting on the internet with my laptop tonight, but I just thought of a new list to make that I think will be fun and may help to drive more traffic to mudpix.com but mums the word about it for now until I get it started and published on the website. Stay tuned!

2019-12-21-SA @ 7:56 PM CST – It’s been a hectic week since my last update, but I’m not going to dwell on anything other than MUDPIX MAGAZINE in this update. When I last looked at the work I was doing on MUDPIX MAGAZINE Issue #2, I realized that the first batch of photos I edited were saved with incorrect file names for the locations where they were taken. So tonight I’m going to work on renaming those files so that I can make sure they get into the correct chapter of of MUDPIX MAGAZINE Issue #2. Yes you read correct, I said chapter. Issue #2 if I haven’t mentioned it already will follow an updated format to include chapters for each location where I took photos at around Lake Harding, and West Point Lake. Issue #1 did not follow this format. I decided to seperate the photos by location in Issue #2 for several reasons to include having the ability in the future to publish location specific issues of MUDPIX MAGAZINE and also to build a list I’m working on (mostly for myself) that includes dates I visited each location.

2019-12-17-TU @ 6:35 PM CST – My computer is on and I am digging through my photos tonight to begin editing the next set for MUDPIX MAGAZINE Issue #2. The internet on my phone is working extremely slow tonight, so I guess it’s a good night to get this photo editing mission started. I have a feeling the slow internet connection is probably weather related since it’s been raining pretty much all day.

2019-12-15-SU @ 7:30 AM CST – This morning I’ve been working on deleting old (now irrelevant) posts I made in my social media on facebook and just noticed on April 11th, 2019 I had started working on a relaunch of mudpix.com and I realized in the last 8 months how busy I’ve been at working on the website as it has grown a lot. I’m looking forward to seeing it’s growth over the next year. – – – 9:23 AM CST – I came across something I wrote on January 6th, 2019 that puts a check mark on my MUDPIX MAGAZINE project. Here’s what I wrote: “How many of you travel to the same place over and over again? Where is it? For me it is nearly any park around West Point Lake, both Alabama and Georgia side. For a lake as big as it is, and the parks as big as they are, it is almost always possible to find most of the land all to yourself where you can hang out and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Sometimes the parks are busy on the weekends, but nearly dead during weekdays. That lake has been my favorite day trip destination since around 2002.”. It’s true. I don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of going out to explore the land around West Point Lake.

The Latest Website Updates At MUDPIX MAGAZINE On Saturday, December 14th, 2019

2019-12-14-SA @ 7:26 PM CST – On the personal side of things at mudpix.com, tonight I want to mention that I recently bought some new games for my Nintendo Switch from the eShop. Those games are Twister Road, Tabletop Racing: World Tour – Nitro Edition, Monster Bugs Eat People, and SpaceColors Runner. I may have also already mentioned it, but I recently purchased a game called GRIP also. It’s a cool racing game that I like. All of these games were purchased on sale. If you don’t know already, Nintendo eShop has a ton of sales going all the time on a lot of games. You’re missing out if you’re not checking it out frequently. – – – I wrote it on a note earlier today to mention that I still haven’t found my tile cutter that I need to make more polymer clay tiles for my Mosaic Therapy project. To be honest I have not actually been looking lately since the last time I mentioned it. I’ll blame it on the hectic holiday season… speaking of things I haven’t done lately… I still haven’t done my Christmas shopping this year yet. I’m leaning toward gift cards probably. – – – Tonight I was going to list some of the new accounts I recently followed on Twitter, but then I decided just to give you this link and you can hop over on my Twitter page and see for yourself who I’m following. You might find some cool accounts to follow, and while you’re there go ahead and give my page a follow and then you can keep up with the latest updates here at mudpix.com and MUDPIX MAGAZINE on Twitter. I do eventually want to get around to making an organized list of accounts I follow because as I’ve learned previously, if you are someone who will eventually follow lots of accounts like myself, it can be difficult to keep up with who you’re following since none of the social networks offer a way of grouping accounts you follow by content matter and my OCD kicks in every time I look at my follow list and I can’t remember why some accounts were followed.

2019-12-14-SA @ 5:13 PM CST – Today is a big day for MUDPIX MAGAZINE. This project is now being advertised on it’s first digital billboard in Pelham, AL. This sign location was chosen as the first advertising location for mudpix.com because it’s a huge sign, and it is located next to the entrance to beautiful Oak Mountain State Park which should bring lots of views to the sign, and hopefully more visits to mudpix.com and all of it’s content including MUDPIX MAGAZINE. Today is the state of Alabama’s 200th birthday also, so that makes the launch of this advertising campaign a bit special in the history of MUDPIX MAGAZINE. This also adds a first to this project since there is no other self published photo magazine ebook series project like this of such massive scale (that I’m aware of) that is being advertised on a billboard anywhere in the United States. I’m looking forward to the potential this advertising campaign will bring to MUDPIX MAGAZINE in attracting nature lovers who enjoy photo ebooks to discover this publication. I must mention that the Photo Of The Day series sadly is still postponed. I do hope to revive the series beginning no later than New Year’s Day 2020 or maybe sooner if time permits. I also want to mention that mudpix.com has recently achieved 200 likes on it’s blog posts and pages. A big thank you goes out to everyone checking out the content and leaving your likes behind.

The Latest Website Updates At MUDPIX MAGAZINE On Sunday, December 1st, 2019

2019-12-01-SU @ 8:39 PM CST – Hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I know I enjoyed it with some time outdoors which allowed me to get new photos that will go into MUDPIX MAGAZINE. Let’s take a look at some updates from the last week. I’ve added a new Nintendo page to the website. On it you’ll find a list of all the games I own on my Nintendo Switch. MUDPIX MAGAZINE is currently on sale at 50% off until Sunday, December 8th, 2019 using discount code “thanks19”. Get it at gumroad.com/mudpix. I’m planning on starting some photo editing for Issue #2 tomorrow evening. The Photo Of The Day which normally runs at 6 a.m. each morning will be postponed tomorrow. I’ve had a very busy time over the last few days and have been dealing with some back pain and haven’t really felt like making post scheduling a priority for POTD. I apologize to everyone who looks forward to seeing those early morning posts on my website. I will get tomorrow’s Photo Of The Day posted tomorrow evening. Tonight I think I’m going to download Krita, an open source digital art software and see what it’s all about. I need to blow the dust off my Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet.

The Latest Website Updates At MUDPIX MAGAZINE On Monday, November 25th, 2019.

2019-11-NOV-25-MO @ 9:03 PM CST – It’s been 8 days since I’ve mentioned any updates on mudpix.com but I’ve been busy for the last week getting caught up on some important things. One of those things has been finally publishing MUDPIX MAGAZINE – Issue #1 and getting it up on the internet for sale. That’s right, the first official issue of MUDPIX MAGAZINE is now available for you to purchase and dive into my photography around Lake Harding and West Point Lake in Alabama and Georgia as it is intended to be enjoyed. Find out how to purchase the magazine on the Home page. Tonight I’m working on some post scheduling to keep the Photo Of The Day series going without missing a beat. Also, my Blogroll Raids page has been updated. In other news also tonight I have made up my mind to dig through my supplies and find my polymer clay cutters so that I can get around to making some more tiles for my Mosaic Therapy project.

The Latest Website Updates At MUDPIX MAGAZINE On Sunday, November 17th, 2019.

2019-11-17-SU @ 9:40 PM CST – 30 pages have been added to MUDPIX MAGAZINE Issue #1. It’s not as much progress as I’d hoped to make tonight, but is more than was done previously. It’s going to be a huge issue when finished. It’s already up to 190+ pages.

2019-11-17-SU @ 2:15 PM CST – This afternoon I’ve come to a realization that maybe one of the reasons the first issue of my MUDPIX MAGAZINE isn’t finished yet is because I’ve been spending too much time trying to feature other creator’s content on this website. It’s something I can’t help doing. I love to share interesting things that I see on the internet. I’m going to have to change my routine a little if I ever want to get this magazine up on site and available for sale. So starting today and throughout this next week, I’m going to focus my time on finishing the magazine. Once it’s finished (and I’ve been thinking about this for at least the past hour today), I’ll be rearranging the top navigation menu links again to focus on just the most essential links relavant to mudpix.com and it’s own content. All other pages that reference off-site content will be moved so that they are only accessable from the Sitemap link, or perhaps I’ll create some sort of directory page to put links to those pages on that will be accessable in the menu. Most of the links I plan on removing from the top navigation area of the website are “under construction” right now anyway and probably shouldn’t have been placed in the navigation menu to start with (I was just enjoying watching this website grow).

2019-11-17-SU @ 11:25 AM CST – A new Art Mosaic Therapy blog category is up, along with a new Mosaic Therapy index page. These locations on site are where you can check out my studies in random mosaic grid layouts. Check those links for more info. Today if I do anything website related, it will be to work on finishing MUDPIX MAGAZINE, the first official issue (mostly anyway – at least that’s my plan). I have made a note to add a page featuring some photographers on 500px.com who’s work I enjoy, and I even have the notes needed to build the page with a few photographers listed, however adding that page to the site is not a high priority for me today (at least I don’t think it is). I just wanted to mention it because it’s potential new content coming, and if you’ve been following my website any length of time then you know how I like to make content lists.

You can see all of the latest updates this month in November 2019 on the Updates page.

The Latest Website Updates At MUDPIX MAGAZINE On Wednesday, November 13th, 2019

2019-11-13-WE @ 9:05 PM CST – A new Lists page has been added to this website. It’s an automatically updated page which will provide you a list of lists I have created on the blog. These lists were already available through the Lists category link on site, however this page will make it easy for you to read the lists without having to scroll so much on the blog to find them.

2019-11-13-WE @ 8:51 PM CST – A new Credits page has been added to this website. It is where credits and thank yous will be given to people that help make MUDPIX MAGAZINE possible.

2019-11-13-WE @ 6:59 PM CST – I’ve been adding some more pages to make featured article lists on for some of my favorite websites. Those pages are Longreads, and Open Culture. These are both websites that I’ve known about for quite some time but haven’t really had a lot of time to dive into and explore. Hopefully putting these pages up on my website here will get me motivated to explore them and link to some great content for you the viewers to explore. There is a new POTD (Photo Of The Day) page which will automatically index and link to each Photo Of The Day post. So you can use that page to catch up on those posts if you miss any. I’ve added a new Weather page, and a new Listening page. These are pages I’ve set up where I can keep a weather journal about my local weather, and list what music I’m listening to daily. Those two pages were mainly put up for my interest because I thought they would be fun to update when I’m on the go since they are easily updated from my phone and the info may be fun or useful to look back on in the future, but if you like viewing them then I’m glad if you like the content. I have more pages coming.

Catch up on all of the latest updates at www.mudpix.com by clicking the “Updates” link in the top menu.
