Featured YouTube Channels And Videos

Rather than creating a ton of blog posts for individual videos and channels on YouTube that I like and recommend viewing, I decided to create a simple list that you the viewer can explore. This also prevents me from having to post videos that need constant monitoring since unfortunately many video producers remove videos as fast as they upload them and I don’t my website becoming a ghost town of dead videos. These channels and videos will focus mainly on nature, outdoors, travel and exploration. This list will be updated periodically as I discover new favorite channels and videos on YouTube. It is possible that at some point as this page grows that I will need to put some content on it’s own page. Appropriate links will be made as necessary. I am not paid or otherwise compensated for featuring these channels. I do not accept requests to have channels added to this page. Please do not make any such requests. To advertise your YouTube Channel, please click over to The Junkyard (Blogs & Business Directory).

Relax At West Point Lake – Video #1

Here it is, the first video I’ve produced. It’s a compilation of 4 video clips I filmed with my Galaxy S8+ on Monday, May 6th, 2019 on West Point Lake at Long Cane Park in Troup County, Georgia. I have in the past tried to get into filming and editing/producing outdoor videos, but never really spent much time at it. In 2019 I hope to explore filming more and bring more of these videos to the internet for your viewing enjoyment. This video is intended to give you a chance to zone out and enjoy a view of nature at one of my favorite locations where I love to do my outdoor photography.

Day Trip – Friday, April 26th, 2019

Thanks for viewing my first Day Trip post. If you aren’t already familiar with my content on this site, here’s a quick intro…

I have been into photography for a long time and my primary interest with my camera work is outdoor candid photography which includes nature, wildlife, and people around the lakes in Georgia and Alabama. I bought my first “good” camera in 2016 and using it pretty much solidified my interests in photography. Before then, it was basically just cellphone photography that I did (mostly for fun and because all I had was my cellphone cameras). This site is my “journal” of photography served in the form of my self published digital (pdf) magazines. The magazines start from the very beginning of my photography with my “good” camera (which is Canon’s SX410 bridge camera for those interested to know). Since the magazines are focused on my older photography (for now until I catch up on all the editing of thousands of photos that are going into these magazines) I thought it would be nice to start these Day Trip posts to highlight my more recent photography that would be coming up in later issues of the magazines.

So how this will work is with each Day Trip post, I’ll provide the date, maybe a few short paragraphs about my photography on that day and then show you a few photos taken on that date. I think you’ll enjoy the work I have to show you.

So let’s get started with this first Day Trip post featuring photos I shot on Friday, April 26th, 2019.

Selfie Art #1

Combining the art of photography and digital photo manipulation art. I love the apps that can turn a photo into an artwork. My favorite is Painnt. My selfie turned to art. Selfie taken on Sunday, April 21st, 2019. Painnt filter: Esbos. Filtered on: Sunday, April 21st, 2019. Further edits in photoshop.

This photo/art image was created for fun. I’m not sure how many of these I may do and post on the blog because of the time it takes to process and edit on my phone and then transfer to the laptop via dropbox, plus the time it takes to actually post to my website, but these could become a regular post now and then. The Painnt app is a really cool app and I’m thinking it might be fun to dig some old selfies out from my younger days and transform them into something new and fresh for a blog project. We’ll see what happens.
